Below is the first drafted sequence to help map out the first script and to plan the storyboard. We wanted to make sure all events worked correctly in the order.

The Beginning

[Title of Short and title of first skit sequence]

  • Character 1 swims into shot in pool
  • Character 1 notices Character 2 admiring itself
  • Character 1 swoons into water submerging
  • Character 1 pops out of water flailing
  • Character 2 springs into action
  • Character 2 slow-mo running off the set
  • A brief moment of uninterrupted flailing from Character 1
  • Character 2 comes to halt at the edge of the stage just in shot
  • Character 2 walks up to Character 1 who is head height with Character 2's knees
  • Character 2 Stares for a brief moment
  • Character 2 scoops up Character 1 behind shoulders and under knees
  • Character 1 tries to kiss Character 2
  • Character 2 drops Character 1
  • The water is only knee deep
  • Character 2 turns and leaves, Character 1 is sitting in shallow water

[Skit 2 title]

  • Character 3 walking along buildings nervously
  • Character 4 ambushes Character 3 from alley way entrance in camera shot
  • Character 4 demands the 'goods' and gestures with hand held blunt instrument in other hand of violence
  • Character 3, terrified takes the bag off the shoulder, opens it and hands Character 4 banana
  • Character 4 is confused and questions banana angrily
  • Banana begins to ring
  • Character 4 is surprised
  • Character 3 snatches banana and answers it
  • Character 4 snatches it back to listen but it has reverted to a mundane banana once again
  • Character 4 throws it on the floor in rage
  • Character 4 snatches the handbag from Character 3
  • Character 4 begins to pull various impossible items from the contents of the bag
  • Character 4 eventually feels something which inspires glee
  • Pulls out a police badge from bag and stares at it, face drops
  • A moment of clarity comes across the face
  • Character 3 remembers they are a police officer
  • Police sirens begin to wail in distance.
  • Look of horror

Character Design · Moom Poses

These are the poses that we will be using for our character design. Each pose is given a personality based off of our script. The lifeguard is a macho man type that's full of confidence and loves his looks, as for the swimmer she's a flirtatious beauty in demand of attention. In the next set of poses, we have the old lady; sweet and innocent and a little bit quirky. Lastly, we have the mischievous robber, always up to no good. Swimming Pool · Skit Evolution

The Swiming pool skit began life as 'The Wrong Response to... Drowning', a macabre subject but we saw the potential when played right for something very funny. The idea began life on a beach, there were three components which contributed to the skit. The first one was the Lifeguard, we went from having him as a hunky Baywatch character, the crazy character of the skit, was scared of water, and/or failed to save the drowning victim in some way, suggests went from being unable to swim, to being scared by a shark fin, to trying to bail out the ocean with a bucket, to taking his time to blow up an inflatable boat.  The problems began to arise when we thought more about the concept of having to create an environment using water. This forced us to consider more options, we had a good formula but it needed tweaking. It was then suggested that the Drowning person become the crazy person; in this scenario, the lifeguard was the serious character. Concepts then went from ideas of
